Yoga is for the elite?

Yoga is a practice for the mind, body & spirit. For years and years, mindfulness & movement therapy have been used by elite athletes and sports teams as a way to progress skill and win gold. So why would you be any different?
Our minds are made to be challenged and confronted with the unexpected & uncomfortable. To balance and stabilize the mind, is proven to reflect in the body during activity and movement. Yoga can be used as a pre game calming technique, also known as meditation, an injury prevention/ rehabilitation or it can be practiced daily for intuitive movement and body awareness.
In my opinion, Yoga can & should be practiced by anyone who moves their body on a regular basis & used as not only a physical warm up or recovery tool, but as a ‘mental facial‘ to keep thoughts and feelings under control.
